Fervent February

It's already March 4th and we had so much to do in February. There was a flurry of projects going on. We handmade all of our Valentines decorations and used things we had around the house.  We made special Valentines for Grandparents and little friends. On Valentines Day we exchanged chocolate and had a special dinner with the 3 of us. We had a candlelit of dry aged steak, orzo and salad. We made cookies for dessert.

We are looking forward to Spring.  Even though we have had a mild winter, we are looking forward to warmer weather and longer days so we can be outside and get some fresh air.  The daffodils are already blooming and we take a picture in MiMi's garden every year.  This year will be our baby cousin's first Easter.

There so many projects I have been looking forward to getting done.  I have some new projects on the list.  We bought some shutters on Craigslist last spring for $5 per shutter.  They need to be put up.  We plan to make pallet furniture for our little deck.

I bought a sewing machine for Christmas and am looking forward to making my baby's Easter dress.  My Maw Maw made ours every year.  I also scored some good finds at my favorite place to shop - the thrift store.  I got all these goodies below for $41.  Some the yellow t-shirt, scarf and flowered skirt were all brand new with tags!  The shirts are too big, but I plan on taking them up to get some good practice on the new machine.

I also have this project below to finish - I got these for .98 CENTS while out thrifting. Whoever had these shoes loved them.  AND so do I - they just need a little TLC and some paint.

Making a fun gallery wall for my sweetheart's room.  Make her a chalkboard from the mirror above.

Just a little primer and some chalkboard paint. There's a lot more going on around here so I better be off!
