Big Love

In good times and bad times, always there with love
Daddy's Boy
We lost our beloved Walter one week ago today.  Our hearts are broken without him with us.  He has no pain anymore and we are able to let him go knowing that.  We know he can see that ball again.  We know he can run on that beach again.  We know he can jump those waves again.

Such a Daddy's boy.  We all love him so very much.  120 pounds is a lot of puppy, but he is all love.  Even though his sight failed him, his body failed him, and his time with us slipped away, his love never once failed us.

It's hard to believe our time with him is over.  Such a good boy, he loved being with his family and that is right where he was when we lost him.  We can still feel him like he is there by us.  We feel like he is still laying at the foot of the bed when you wake up in the morning.  We wait to hear him bark when we come home and to be the first one to welcome us.  He always wanted to be near us and we loved having him as part of our family.

I found a quote that couldn't be more true of our sweet boy:  A dog is the only thing on earth that loves you more than you love yourself.

A little girl longs to play with her Bubby.  Her heart is broken because she can't understand why he is not with us anymore.  We told her he was sick and God had to take him to Heaven to take care of him there.  Thank you for being so gentle with her, buddy.

Words fail me now to describe our life with him.  Had to stop myself from buying his food and frosty paws this week in the grocery store.  It's definitely going to be a long time adjusting to life without him.  We love you sweet man.

We're saving a pizza crust and a frosty paw for you buddy...
